YuXin Little Magic Square-1
The Square-1 is the shape-shifting puzzle of the WCA line-up: a single slice turn splits it into wedges and kites of different sizes, so a scrambled Square-1 no longer even looks like a cube. Restoring the cube shape is the first half of the solve, which makes it the natural next puzzle after the 3×3.
The السحر الصغير is the one to learn it on. It is non-magnetic and stickerless, light in the hand, and smooth straight out of the box with no break-in period. At roughly 57 mm tall and 55 mm wide it is a little larger than most competition Square-1s, and its sturdier build makes the thin middle layer easier to grip and line up for the slice move.
For the extra stability of magnets, the Little Magic Square-1 M is available as a version of this puzzle.
