DaYan FTO (Magnetic + Ball-Core)
A Face-Turning Octahedron: eight triangular faces, each one turning like a face of a 3×3. It is one of the few shape puzzles that feels new rather than like a re-cut cube, because the pieces travel between faces in ways a cubic puzzle never allows, and the solve has its own logic.
DaYan builds this FTO around a ball core that anchors every center to a single sphere instead of separate screws, so the eight faces stay square to each other at any turning speed, while a full set of magnets stops each face cleanly on its alignment point.
Corner cutting is generous for a shape puzzle, so it forgives an imprecise turn instead of catching. Tensions are adjustable, and the puzzle is stickerless and ships assembled, ready to solve.
