DaYan Megaminx Pro+ (MagLev + Ball-Core)
The Pro+ is DaYan’s flagship megaminx, and this MagLev edition is the fastest and lightest-feeling version of the line. It is built around a fully magnetic ball-core with adjustable corner-core magnets, so the layers settle into place cleanly instead of drifting — a real difference on a 12-sided puzzle where misalignment is what usually kills a solve.
Instead of springs, the MagLev version uses 220 magnets to carry the tension. Turning stays light and low-friction from the first solve to the thousandth, with none of the spring fatigue that shows up on a heavily used megaminx. The Standard Magnetic version of the same puzzle uses 160 magnets with conventional springs.
Tension is set with a numbered dial rather than a screwdriver and guesswork — you can read your setting, write it down, and return to it exactly after a teardown.
The pieces carry a lightly ridged, scratch-resistant frosted surface. The ridges give your fingers something to catch during fast turns, and the frosting keeps the puzzle looking new after long sessions instead of going glossy and slick.
Edge length is 30.38 mm and the puzzle weighs 252 g — sized for comfortable one-handed reach on a megaminx and legal for WCA competition. It ships stickerless, and a set of black replacement pieces is included so you can convert one face to black if you prefer that colour scheme.
