FZ-Glide is a piece lube built around feel. TheCubicle tested several formulations — two of them at the North American Championship — before settling on this one: not too fast, not too slow, just a balanced, satisfying turn that improves the puzzle the moment you apply it.
Apply it to the pieces. Keep the cap on when you are not using it so the lube holds its consistency.
Note: FZ-Glide is water-based. Do not apply it directly to magnets, springs, screws or any other metal parts.

A new cube comes with a thin, uneven layer of factory lube, so it feels stiff and scratchy until it settles in. We lubricate yours before it ships, so you get the settled feel from your first solve instead of after a week of turning.
Standard Lube
Silicone lubricant between the moving pieces. It clears the factory friction, so the cube runs smoother and quieter than an untouched one. The sensible pick for a first speedcube, or a refresh for one you already own.
ProLube
Premium lubricants, tuned for the balance between speed and control rather than speed alone. A broken-in feel from the very first turn, and fewer lock-ups when you turn fast.
