The magnetic YJ MGC 4×4 with one extra: small washers with ball bearings inside sit on top of the center pieces, which cuts friction and makes the turning faster.
Everything else is the MGC 4×4 that speedcubers already know: factory-installed magnets and a stable, stickerless body of about 60 mm that weighs about 115 g.
Worth knowing: 4×4 is a WCA event. The standard and UV coated MGC 4×4 are available as separate versions.

A new cube comes with a thin, uneven layer of factory lube, so it feels stiff and scratchy until it settles in. We lubricate yours before it ships, so you get the settled feel from your first solve instead of after a week of turning.
Standard Lube
Silicone lubricant between the moving pieces. It clears the factory friction, so the cube runs smoother and quieter than an untouched one. The sensible pick for a first speedcube, or a refresh for one you already own.
ProLube
Premium lubricants, tuned for the balance between speed and control rather than speed alone. A broken-in feel from the very first turn, and fewer lock-ups when you turn fast.
